What this directory is
Malaysia SEO Agency Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to a relevant provider and may receive a referral fee. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings.
It is built for business owners, marketing managers and founders across Malaysia who want to compare SEO agencies before they pick up the phone. Right now it lists 198 SEO agency businesses.
Who publishes it
The directory is published by Meridian Guides, which has run independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia since 2025. Its site is meridianguides.my. Meridian Guides is the party behind every ranking you see here.
Editorial oversight sits with Janice, Editor. Janice maintains the rankings, and questions about how a score was reached go to her through the contact address below.
How listings get here
We pull public business data, such as name, address, contact details and category. We then synthesise recent Google reviews into a short summary of what customers tend to say. We do not republish review text. Where you want to read the originals, we link out to Google.
How rankings are earned
Rankings come from a published scoring rubric and data, nothing else. No one can buy a higher position. The full scoring method is set out on the methodology page, so you can see what counts and how it is weighted.
Sponsorship
Some placements may be sponsored. When they appear, they are labelled “Sponsored” and shown separately from the earned results. Sponsorship never changes the earned ranking of any business, sponsor or not.
What listed businesses can and cannot change
A listed business can correct its own facts, for example a wrong phone number, address or opening hours. It cannot edit its own score, sentiment summary or ranking. Those come from the rubric and the data.
Freshness
Data is refreshed monthly. Each listing carries a “last verified” stamp, so you can see when we last checked it and judge how current it is.

- Can an agency pay to rank higher?
- No. Earned rankings come only from the published rubric and data. Sponsored placements are labelled "Sponsored", shown separately, and never change the earned ranking.
- Do you copy Google reviews onto the site?
- No. We synthesise recent Google reviews into a summary and link out to Google for the originals.
- How do I fix wrong details on my listing?
